Tioga County $mart Buy
$mart Buy is a food-buying program run by the
Food Bank of the Southern Tier (FBST), Tioga Opportunities, Inc. and
Catholic Charities—Tioga Outreach Center.
The purpose of $mart Buy is to provide high quality food at a low cost so you and your family can stretch your food dollars.
Once a month you can sign up for a food package and/or individual specials at Tioga Opportunities, Inc. (Countryside Community Center) or Catholic Charities-Tioga Outreach Center (in the old school building behind St. James Church). The food list contains the larger main package costing $20.00. Two specials (usually food in five to ten pound sizes) are also available for purchase separately at an additional cost. Orders must be paid for in advance of the pick-up date (date is listed on food list that is given out each month). You can call if you do not have this list.
