Food Security 2008-2009:

The Ben & Jerry's Foundation awarded YES $750 to address food security in Newark Valley. We used this money to purchase and plant eight fruit trees and four container gardens on the Newark Valley High School campus. In the process our students performed over thirty hours of community service. These will be lasting editions not only to the campus, but to the larger community as well.
