Tioga Outreach Services
Services are offered in Tioga County by our Tioga Outreach Center.
The food pantry is available to all Tioga County residents who are in need of food. Visits are limited to once per month unless referred by a community agency or school. Food donations are always needed and welcomed!
Clothing and Household Items
Clothing and household items are available. Due to limited items we reserve the right to limit the amount of clothing per person. Donations of good and clean new or used clothing and household items are greatly appreciated!
Personal Needs Items
Personal needs items such as shampoo, toilet paper, and toothpaste are often available. Items available are based on donations received.
Emergency Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available for Tioga County residents. These funds are very limited. Financial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis. Assistance that may be available includes:
- help with security deposits to find appropriate housing or rental arrears.
- prescription assistance for those in need of a prescription that they cannot afford.
- utility assistance to avoid shut off.
Our job listing display board posts current job openings. There is also a computer available to search for jobs and type up resumes.
Assistance with SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) applications is provided through our CCUSA/Walmart Foundation grant.
Other Services Provided Throughout the Year
In the past we have been able to offer food baskets at Thanksgiving, Toys for children at Christmas, back to school supplies, and community food giveaways. However, these types of services depend on yearly funding, donations, and fundraisers.
