Through its Justice & Peace Ministry, Catholic Charities educates and activates on issues of Catholic Social Teaching. These include immigrant rights, worker rights, and environmental protection. We offer special assistance to Catholic faith communities in responding to the social demands of the Gospel.
Activities of the Justice & Peace Ministry include:
- Labor-Religion Coalition of the Finger Lakes: People of faith and members of labor unions working together for justice in the workplace, especially for low wage workers.
- Tompkins County Catholic Social Ministry Network: An opportunity to meet regularly with people from other Catholic faith communities to educate and advocate on social concerns.
- Justice, Peace & Life: Contact the J&P Ministry Coordinator to receive this monthly newsletter which is distributed to parishioners around the diocese.
